Theme Song - Chiodos ~ The Undertaker's Thirst for Revenge Is Unquenchable

Prague; Czech Republic

My eyes are glistening with the ghosts of my past
The memories that we once had

Now that you've turned the world against me
I'm only trying to win them back

Gabriel sat crouched, poised above one of the many statues that adorned the Prague Castle. It was from this vantage point that she had a spectacular view and watched Humanity below continue on with their happy lives, co-existing with creatures that they knew nothing about. Gabriel was one of these creatures, the very Archangel of biblical history. A Celestial who had been cast down to Earth to watch over God's precious Mortals and took the form of a woman to disguise the true nature of what she was.

With my eyes sewn shut
To shut down and bathe in these words about me
And now you're standing alone with your eyes to the sun

That heaven and earth may strike their sounds together
Worlds are ruined this way,
And we've all been there time and time again

Before the battle always seem so still
And I will see you someday again in the clouds

Rain poured down from the sky above and it drenched through the long black velvet coat that Gabriel wore. The rain plastered white blonde hair to a face that by all rights, should be considered full of ethreal beauty. Flawless, angelic and yet managed to appear to be carved from the very marble of the statues beneath her. It was unbelievably soft to the touch, very nearly like the velvet she was rather fond of wearing. Slowly, Gabriel stood as thunder shook the very foundation of the castle and lightning split the sky, turning the night bright with carnal light for a split second before plundering it into darkness once more.

All the world's a stage
I existed because I dreamed
And well, I dream no more
I've given up on the entire human race

With the darkness as her cover, Gabriel jumped down from her perch. There was a sickening pop as feathered wings, darker than the shadows shot forth from along her spine and lifted her open coat as she used them to glide down towards the ground below, making sure to land in an abandoned alley to avoid the curious eyes of the Mortal race. She landed like a graceful predator, straightening a mere moment later. Her wings, folded back before they tucked themselves inward and seemed to disappear entirely from view. There was no one in the alley save for a few rats and a stray cat searching perpetually for food. The cat, eager for companionship dared to move closer to Gabriel, rubbing against the ripped faded blue jeans that covered her long legs. She knelt down carefully and scratched the cat behind the ear who immediately began to purr at the attention.

"Hungry, my friend?" She spoke softly, her voice musical to the ear Human or otherwise. This was one of the reasons why she was generally so quiet. If she was not careful, her voice could make many a man and woman weep with its beautifully musical timber. "Come, let us find something to eat." Gabriel picked up the cat, tucking the animal close to her own body to shelter it from the rain. Its black fur just as damp as she was and a chill was starting to settle into the animal. She could feel it shaking subtly in her grasp.

Gabriel paid for a hotel room by the night, it seemed to draw less attention them to pay for it outright in one large sum. No one questioned her as she walked through the massive lobby. In fact, very few looked in her direction. The moment the elevator doors closed, she shifted her coat enough to let the cat breathe a bit more. "What to call you." She stated, listening to the cat purr once more as she scratched behind its ear again. "Atalya." She tested. An Assyrian name that meant to grow or be great. At the mention of the name, the cat let out a single meow. "Atalya it is then."

The elevator stopped and deposted Gabriel and Atalya on their desired floor. Suddenly, from no where, a deep sense of dread gripped her and she braced a hand against the wall beside the door to her room. She knew that feeling. Evil. Something evil had either awoken, or been set loose. An evil so old. This was why He had sent Gabriel to Earth, to make sure this evil didn't prevail. The time had come at last...
